I‘d like to take some time out and wish good luck to all medical students, residents, and graduates going in the match this year. It’s the process by which applicants vie amongst thousands for the residency of their choice.
The match officially began yesterday and will go until March 16. I was there 4 years ago and can still remember the fear, anxiety, and ulcers from being a candidate. My advice is to apply smartly, do well on your interviews, rank more than one place, and most importantly, devise a backup plan.
